*SPORTS*  Yearlong great weather allows for excellent opportunities to practice a wide variety of sporting options, whether you are a serious athlete in training, or a casual active visitor.

·   Surfing:  Hit La Santa to surf along the reef, or Famara to find waves. Beginners can take advantage of the many surf schools and experts can show off their moves, discovering why this island is considered a surfer's paradise. 

·   Kite and Wind Surfing:  The constant sea breeze  makes for the perfect kite and wind surfing conditions. Jameo Agua Famara is the perfect spot, right at the mouth of the caves. July & August are the best times of the year for this sport.

·   Kayaking: Puerta Caballo marina offers year around high performance kayaks and canoes including lessons for newbies. 

·   Swimming:  Take a swim in the clear blue waters off the beaches of Papagayo, Agaete, or Playa Quemada, and check out the colorful marine life.

·   Sailing: The trade winds provide ideal conditions for this popular water sport.  Lessons and rentals available on the beaches of Playa Blanca, Costa Teguise, and La Santa.

·   Golf: Absorb the unique landscape while challenging yourself on the links of Costa Teguise or Peurta del Carmen, both providing very different golfing experiences.

·    Boating:  Take tours of the island by sea and maybe even spot a dolphin!  Catamarans, yatchs, and ferries all departing from Puerta del Carmen, Playa Blanca, and Puero Calero.

·    Mirador del Rio:  Get a panoramic view of the island and confirm that you are surrounded by water at this breathtaking viewpoint. 

·    Los Hervideros: Head to El Golfo to see the water in action clashing against the volcanoes and the mysterious green sea.

*NIGHTLIFE*  This may be a small island, but it is still Spain!  After a long day of adventures or lying on the beach, there are plenty of great spots to let your hair down and fiesta well into the wee hours of the night.
